An important hyperparasitoid of the coconut caterpillar, Eurytoma braconidis significantly delimits the effectiveness of the primary parasitoids in the field. A short account on the reproductive strategies of E. braconidis, with emphasis of its mating and oviposition behaviour, is provided. The characteristic pattern of courtship displays by the male, the factors involved in host and ovisite selection and the mode of oviposition by the female, are briefly discussed.
