Teflubenzuron, a new active insecticide compound, was used in pest control tests against Cydia pomonella and Leucoptera scitella. Positive results were obtained with regard to the two phytophagous insects to which a third, Ceratitis capitata, was added. During the tests information was collected on the impact that this new active compound had on predators and parasites present on this cultivation. The effect of Teflubenzuron was observed on four species of Coccinellidae and one Braconidae of the Apanteles spp. genus, and no form of toxicity was recorded. To complete the study of the impact on the environment, the research should be integrated with a test to evaluate the persistence of the action of the insecticide.
