Five hymenopterous parasitoids of mustard (Brassica juncea) crop pests have been recorded from North East Plain Agro-ecological Zone of India. In a survey during 1997-1999 on mustard oilseed crops, two braconids (Cotesia sp. & Bracon sp.) two chalcids (Brachemeria excarinata & B. carbonaria) and one scelionid (Trissolcus sp.) were found to be potential parasitoids of Plutella xylostella (Ypnomeutidae: Lepidoptera), Pieris brassicae (Pieridae : Lepidoptera) and Bagrada hilaris (Pentatomidae : Hemiptera), respectively. A check list of the host parasitoid complex of mustard crop pests and their distribution in different agro-ecological zone of India has also been made.
