none The fungicides, benomyl (Benlate)-7,8 and thiabendazole (Mertect)-7,9 were incorporated into artificial diet or applied onto soybean foliage. Heliothis zea (Boddie) larvae were reared on these fungicide treated diets and exposed to parasitism by the braconid parasitoid, Microplitis croceipes (Cresson). Both fungicides, when included in host larval food, significantly reduced successful parasitoid survival, as measured by percent emergence of larval parasitoids. Neither fungicide affected survival of nonparasitized H. zea larvae to pupation.
