none Entered Parasitism by Cotesia vestalis had significant effects on the silk gland of diamondback moth Plutella xylostella larva at the aspects of morphology, structure, components and contents of the secreted proteins. Cells in the silk glands of the parasitized larva could not enlarge, so the protein secretion was inhibited, which resulted in a significant decrease of protein contents compared to that of the unparasitized larva. Meanwhile, components of the protein secretions, mainly the proteins > 50 kDa, were significantly different between the parasitized and unparasitized larvae. Nov 25 2014
