    none no species Tent caterpillars, Malacosoma spp. are the voracious defoliator of a number of temperate fruit and forest trees in different parts of the world. Studies were made during the years 1974-77 to investigate the natural enemies of this pest in Kumaon hills of Uttar Pradesh. The present investigations show that Hyposoter sp. parasitises M. indica larvae in Kumaon hills. Hyposoter clisiocampiae (Weed), H. annulipes (Cresson), H. fugitivus fugitivus (Say), H. fugitivus pacificus Cushman, H. fuscitarsus (Vireck) are also reported as larval parasites of its related species in abroad.
