Studies were made during the years 1974-77 to investigate the natural enemies of this pest in Kumaon hills of Uttar Pradesh. The present investigations show that Hyposoter sp. parasitises M. indica larvae in Kumaon hills. Hyposoter clisiocampiae (Weed), H. annulipes (Cresson), H. fugitivus fugitivus (Say), H. fugitivus pacificus Cushman, H. fuscitarsus (Vireck) are also reported as larval parasites of its related species in abroad.
