none During 1974-1976 the mortality of hibernating codling moth larvae ranged from 22.9, to 36.2% in unsprayed apple orchards in the Skierniewice area. The commonest fungus recovered from field-collected larvae was Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vull., which accounted for 62% of the observed fungal infections. The most abundant parasites were Ascogaster quadridentatus Wesm. (Braconidae) and Pristomerus vulnerator Grav. (Ichneumonidae), which accounted for 31 and 27.8% of the total number of parasites collected, respectively. Periods of emergence of codling moths and parasites were also noted.
