none A study on the impact of judicious use of chemical insecticides on the natural enemies was undertaken in the brinjal field. The results revealed that ladybird beetles and spiders were seriously affected in the scheduled sprayed field, where Cymbush 10EC was applied at weekly intervals compared with those having mechanical control with judiciously sprayed, and unsprayed fields. The natural parasitism caused by an ichneumonid larval parasitoid of brinjal shoot and fruit borer was found less affected in the mechanical control treatment with judiciously sprayed field as compared with the scheduled sprayed field.
