The importance of Pimpla turionellae as pupal parasite of codling moth was studied by repeated exposures of larvae on apple trees. The parasitism varied between 0 and 56% (average around 20%) on insecticide treated as well as on untreated trees. The origin of the larvae (laboratory reared or field collected) had also no influence on parasitism. Larvae cocooned in corrugated paper however, were twice as heavily parasitised as larvae cocooned in bark. none
