comment:
none Initial toxicity of 11 insecticides and 3 fungicides and the persistent toxicity of 9 insecticides was evaluated against Cotesia (=Apanteles) plutellae (Kurdj.), a dominant parasitoid of diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella (L.) on several cole crops. Three fungicides, namely metalaxyl, + mancozeb, chlorothalonil and copper oxychloride and six insecticides, viz. fluvalinate, carbaryl, acephate, methyl demeton, neem seed kernal extract and Neemark were found harmless to the adult parasitoids. Dimethoate, dichlorvos and endosulfan were least persistent while chlorpyriphos was highly persistent against C. plutellae.
