Four neem formulations, two synthetic insecticides and Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner (Bt) used alone and in combination with endosulfan were evaluated for safety to Diaeretiella rapae (Mc'Intosh), a potential parasitoid of the mustard aphid Lipaphis erysimi (Kaltenbach) at Akola, Maharashtra. It was found that Bt 1kg/ha and Neemark 1% were the safer treatments followed by neem leaf extract 5%, Bt 0.5 kg/ha + endosulfan 0.03%, endosulfan 0.05%, Achook 0.15% and neem seed extract 5% while dimethoate 0.03% proved toxic to the parasitoid.
