comment:
none Meteorus chilensis Porter is a gregarious endoparasitoid that lives on the larvae of Copitarsia turbata in regions of the Humahuaca Gorge in Jujuy, Argentina. Studies were carried out in the laboratory (Temperature: 22,17 +- 1 degree C; Relative humidity: 75 +- 5% and normal photoperiod) and their result was the successful growth of both the host and the parasitoid. We have obtained : duration, and correlation of their life cycles, morphologic study of their immature stages and aspects of the biological characteristics of M. chilensis. We have analyzed the percentage of parasitism, obtained in the field and its probable use as a biocontrol agent.
