The biology and early stages of the predatory anthomyiid Paraprosalpia sepiella are described from observations in Scotland. There appeared to be one generation a year in the Caimgorins, most of the year being spent in the pupa. Most adults appeared to emerge in spring, but there was a 2nd emergence about the beginning of July. In the Pennines, there might be at least 2 generations a year. The parasitoids Phygadeuon sp. and Atractodes pusillus are reported from pupae collected in the Caimgorms in June and August. none
