none Described are the Hymenoptera from the large collection of fossil insects from the upper Palaeocene/lower Eocene Molar-Formation. Included are 23 specimens of Ichneumonidae. The specimens consist solely of females of only one species, which possibly belongs to the Pimplinae as determined by overall morphology, form of the ovipositor and the arrangement of the veins. The determination as "Pimpla" stigmatica by HENRIKSEN (1922) is rejected. Final taxonomic determination can not be made at the present time, because the phylogenetic system (sensu HENNIG) of Ichneumonidae has yet to be established. This applies as well for the Braconidae, which are represented by two specimens of different species. A single specimen of one isolated front- and hindwing with reduced veins possibly belongs to the Proctotrupidae. The richness of characters shown by the well preserved Hymenoptera from Moler is demonstrated and thus, that fossil forms can contribute much to clarification of phylogenetic and evolutionary questions when considered in conjunction with study of present day relatives. Unfortunately, this has rarely been the case in past.
