comment:
The natural enemies of potato pests were studied in Modipuram, Agra and Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh and Patna in Bihar, India, in 1987. Among the natural enemies attacking lepidopterous pests, a species of the braconid genus Microplitis [Microgaster] was observed parasitizing larvae of the noctuid Spodoptera litura in December, and another braconid, Apanteles ruficrus [Cotesia ruficrus], and the encyrtid Copidosoma floridanum were seen parasitizing larvae of a species of the noctuid genus Plusia at a rate of 33 and 57%, respectively, in December-February. Coccinella septempunctata and Menochilus sexmaculatus [Cheilomenes sexmaculata] were the most common predators of aphids. none
