During the second half of 1982 an outbreak of the common pine sawfly occurred in stands of Scots pine near Roermond, province of Limburg. Of 400 healthy cocoons that were collected from soil samples on 24,XI.1982 and 4.V. 1983, 106 cocoons were parasitized. All parasitoids emerged in 1983 and belonged to the Ichneumonidae. The species were identified as Pleolophus basizonus (Gravenhorst) (88%), Exenterus amictorius (Panzer) (7%), Olesicampe argenata (Gravenhorst) (3%), Gelis sp. (1%) and Delomerista laevis (Gravenhorst) (1%). The latter species is a new record for the common pine sawfly in the Netherlands. none
