none Chrysopophthorus chrysopimaginis; INSECT-HOSTS; Mallada (Orthoptera); Sequential parasitism recorded; FRANCE-; Sequential parasitism in orthopteran hosts Mallada; HYMENOPTERAN-PARASITES; Chrysopophthorus chrysopimaginis; Sequential parasitism recorded; FRANCE-; Sequential parasitism by hymenopteran parasites In the case of two Chrysopophthorus chrysopimaginis Goid. (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) larvae simultaneously inhabiting a chrysopid host, it was found that only one of them would develop to term, the second would die. In addition to this superparasitism another type of parasitism was observed. Two or several braconid larvae were found to develop successively inside the same host without lethal consequences for the victim or any changes in the egg-laying capacity of female chrysopids. This type of parasitism was called sequential parasitism.
