This Prolatus aciculata Sharma successfully attacks and parasitises 2nd instar larva. Mortality range is 10% to 15%. At 25.5 degree C, all individuals died without reaching the adult stage, Prolatus aciculata has been recorded in Jammu as an important parasitoid of Sinoxylon anale a serious pest of Delbergia sissoo.
