The genus under description is closely related to the genera Dacnusa and Exotela and differs from them by outgrowth as a deflector over the mandible base and by markedly varying in size and form upper and lower denses of tridentate mandible. The only species of the genus V. genalis sp. n. is distributed in the European part of the USSR, Caucasus and Kazakhstan.
