comment:
none Apion damryi Desbr. (Coleoptera Curculionidae) is an artichoke (Cynara scolimus ) pest in South Italy. The adults of the weevil emerge in spring from overwintering larvae and after a summer diapause oviposit in leaf ribs and flower axes in autumn. A. darmyi larvae were found to be parasitized in high degree by Triaspis aciculatus Ratz. (Hymenoptera Braconidae), and endophagous parasitoid whose adults emerge from February to June. This important parasitic species was not recorded up to now as natural enemy of weevils of the genus Apion Hbst.
