The species composition, frequence and emergence dynamics of parasitoids of the larvae and pupae of Rhynchaenus fagi L. parasiting on oriental beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky) were studied. This resulted in finding for the first time in Bulgaria the following species in the fauna parasiting on Rhynchaenus fagi: Eubasus minutus R., Triaspis pallipes Nees. and Colastes braconius Hob. (Braconidae); Trichomalus inscitus W. (Pteromalidae); Monotetrastichus planellus W. (Eulophidae) and Entedon cionobius Thoms. (Chalcididae). The frequence of Eubasus minutus was the highest (72.5%), next followed by the ones of Trichomalus inscitus and Triaspis pallipes (11.9% each). The emergence of the three most common parasitoids was reported under laboratory conditions. It needs to be specified under natural conditions, as well, in view of preserving these species in cases of chemical control of the pest.
