none. The identification of biotic control agents of Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) infesting corn in the province of Tucuman, Argentina, were obtained during the spring and summer of 1991/1992 and 1992/1993. The following natural enemies were identified in order of importance : the nuclear polyhedrosis, granulosis and iridescent viruses, the fungus Nomuraea rileyi Farlow (Samson) (Deuteromycota) and Entomophthora aulicae (Weisser) (Zigomycota: Entomophthorales); the parasitoids Campoletis sp. Ophion sp. (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae); Archytas sp.; Winthemia sp. (Diptera: Tachinidae) and the parasite Hexamermis hortensis (C&S) (Nematoda: Mermitidae). The iridescent virus and the fungus E. aulicae are new records for Argentina.
