Two parasitic wasps, Dacnusa sibirica Telenga (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) and Halticoptera circulus (Walker) (Hymenoptera: Ptemmalidae) were found parasitizing vegetable leafminer (Liriomyza spp.) in Xinjiang, China. D. sibirica Telenga acts as a dominant parasite of Liriomyza larvae. The rate of parasitism varies in different crops, seasons and environments, and can be greatly influenced by chemical insecticides. In Urumqi, wasps can live through the severe winter within the hosts overwintering in the soil. H. circulus ( Walker) is a rare species. none
