comment:
A series of thermorphythms was used to test the intensity of responses to temperature in A. manducator. The larvae of Calliphora vicina were infested by A. manducator and kept at 12 degree C and the photoperiod C:T 12:12 for 40 days. The results of the experiments coincide with the principal postulates of the model of the photoperiodic and temperature control of the development of insects. The number of reactivated individuals increases as the length of cold exposure increases. Both responses were demonstrated when thermophase coincided with the beginning or the end of the night. none
