comment:
none We collected a number of onion maggot (OM) pupae to study their diapause from green onion patch in Gyeongnam province in 1984. Some hymenopteran parasites emerged from the pupae. The parasites were identified as Aphaereta pallipes (Say) and this species is first recorded from Korea. It's parasitism on overwintering OM pupae was 0.89% in 1984 and no parasitism was observed on the Pupae collected from 5 locations in February, 1988. Measurement of body and antennae, and characteristics of adult parasites were described.
