(Fitton and Gauld, 1976) Cryptus Jurine,1801 was made unavailable with the rejection of the 'Erlangen List' which contained the name, by Opinion 135 . Cryptus Panzer,1804 was suppressed and Cryptinae became valid by being placed on the Official list of Family-Group names in zoology by Opinion 1757 .
